In 2001, Sime Darby Motors through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sime Darby Automobiles Pty Ltd, acquired the distributorship of Peugeot vehicles in Australia. Sime Darby Motors led the Peugeot franchise to three-fold growth in the first full year of trading. Since then, it has grown the sales of the Peugeot brand significantly and now, has over 40 dealers network.
Sime Darby Fleet Services Pty Ltd specializes in 4-WD vehicles and buses for rental under the trade name Corefleet in Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales. It services the mining and construction industries in these 3 states.
