INOKOM Automotive Training Centre

IATC is a division of Inokom Corporation Sdn Bhd. It was established in July 2006 with the mission of providing Sime Darby Motors and the Malaysian automotive industry with a continuous pool of competent technical professionals.

• To train apprentices for motor dealership and assemblers to meet basic competency requirements to perform automotive servicing and assembly work.
• To upgrade technician skills in servicing and assembly work in line with the latest technological advancement.
• To act as a resource centre for technical information by linking with other motor industry training institutions and to keeping abreast with developments in automotive technology.

IATC recruited its first batch of 31 students in October 2006. It is located on the:

2nd Floor, Hyumal Trading Building,
No. 1, Jalan Pelukis U1/46,
Temasya Industrial Park, Seksyen U1,
40150 Shah Alam,
Selangor Darul Ehsan.

It has technical instructors and non-technical trainers who have vast experience in the automotive industry. IATC’s training curriculum is approved by the Institute of Motor Industry and National Vocational Training Council. Its programmes are therefore certified by these bodies.

IATC offers 2 types of training namely Apprenticeship Programme which is a 1-year course and customised short-term courses on automotive technology to accommodate clients’ needs. The entry qualification for the Apprenticeship Programme is SPM with credits in English, Math and Science and trainees must be self-sponsored or able to obtain their own scholarships or study loans.
