In New Zealand, Sime Darby Motors is involved in the distribution and retail of passenger and commercial vehicles. Our involvement began in 1999 with the acquisition of Continental Car Services Ltd, a multi-franchise dealership retailing renowned brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Audi, Chrysler and Volkswagen.
Sime Darby Motors ventured into the commercial vehicles business in 2004 through its acquisition of Trucks Investments Ltd (TIL) and UD Truck Distributors (NZ) Ltd. In addition to its retail outlets, TIL also operates Truckstops, an after-sales network spanning the North and South Islands. In March 2009 TIL subsidiary Motor Truck Distributors (MTD) added the prestigious Volvo brand to its previously held Mack and Renault brands.
