Mr. Peter Goh, Managing Director of Sime Darby Hong Kong Ltd, gave an opening speech.
HONG KONG, 21 July 2009 - Sime Darby Hong Kong Ltd has taken another further step in the introduction of electric commercial vehicles in Hong Kong with Smith Electric Vehicles (SEV). Subsequent to the collaboration with the HK Govt. on a long-term test of Mitsubishi i-MiEV in May 09’, we have recently hosted a seminar on Electric Commercial Vehicles, on July 21, 209 at the InnoCentre.

Mr. Kevin Harkin explained the technical specifications of electric vans.
Mr. Darren Kell, Chief Executive of Tanfield Group Plc and Mr. Kevin Harkin, Sales Director of Smith Electric Vehicles, UK; were our guest speakers at the seminar. SEV is the world's largest manufacturer of zero emission vans and trucks. Sold under the Smith brand, the division produces a range of commercial electric vehicles, based on Ford’s Transit and Connect vans; and a truck, which is capable of carrying GVW of 13,000kg.
